Sie ist ein Flimmern am Rand oder ein Gedanke, der sich nicht abschütteln lässt. Sie bricht nicht immer aus. Manchmal wächst sie leise unter der Oberfläche, funkelt in Zwischenräumen. Leidenschaft beginnt selten laut.

Wer leidenschaftlich ist, lässt sich ein. Auf den Moment, in dem etwas kippt. Auf das Gegenüber. Manchmal auf sich selbst. Leidenschaft nimmt Raum ein und fragt nicht danach, ob es passt. Sie fragt, ob es brennt. Aus Leidenschaft kann Musik werden, die sich durch den Körper schiebt. Worte, die sich aus Erinnerungen formen und Bewegung, die Schwerkraft hinterfragt. Leidenschaft kann aussehen wie eine Diskokugel im Scheinwerferlicht, wie ein Techno-Beat im Theaterraum, wie ein Seil, das einen Körper trägt. Sie kann klingen wie ein Chor ohne Stimme oder sich anfühlen wie ein Blick, der bleibt, obwohl er längst hätte gehen müssen.

Leidenschaft hat viele Körper und Ausdrucksformen – und wir bringen sie auf die Bühnen der Doppelstadt. In diesem Jahr haben wir nach Geschichten gesucht, in denen sie sich versteckt. Wir haben Künstler*innen eingeladen, die glitzern und kämpfen, die forschen, flüstern, fordern. Was uns bewegt, muss nicht laut sein. Aber es will gesehen werden. UNITHEA ist Leidenschaft.

Kto jest pełen pasji, angażuje się. W moment, w którym coś się zmienia. W drugą osobę. Czasami w siebie samego. Pasja zajmuje przestrzeń i nie pyta, czy tam pasuje. Pyta, czy płonie. Z pasji może powstać muzyka, która przepływa przez ciało, słowa, które kształtują się ze wspomnień i ruch, który kwestionuje grawitację. Pasja może być jak kula dyskotekowa w świetle reflektorów, jak rytm techno w sali teatralnej, jak lina, która utrzymuje ciało. Może brzmieć jak chór bez głosu lub być odczuwana niczym wciąż wbite w Ciebie spojrzenie, które już dawno powinno było zostać odwrócone.

Pasja ma wiele twarzy i form wyrazu – a my przenosimy je na sceny naszego dwumiasta. W tym roku szukaliśmy historii, w których można ją odnaleźć. Zaprosiliśmy artystów, którzy błyszczą i walczą, którzy badają, szepczą, domagają się. To, co nas porusza, nie musi być głośne. Ale chce być widziane. UNITHEA to pasja.

It's a flicker at the edge of your vision or a thought you can't shake off. It doesn't always burst out. Sometimes it grows quietly beneath the surface, sparkling in the spaces between. Passion rarely begins loudly.

Those who are passionate are committed. To the moment when something tips over. To the people around them. Sometimes to themselves. Passion takes up space and doesn't ask if it belongs there. It asks if it burns. Passion can become music that moves through the body. Words that form from memories and movement that questions gravity. Passion can look like a disco ball in the spotlight, like a techno beat in a theater, like a rope that lifts a body. It can sound like a choir without a voice or feel like a gaze that lingers even though it should have left long ago.

Passion has many bodies and forms of expression—and we bring them to the stages of our twin cities. This year, we searched for stories in which passion can be found. We invited artists who glitter and fight, who explore, whisper, and demand. What inspires us doesn't have to be loud. But it wants to be seen. UNITHEA is passion.
